Little River Waterfront

Welcome to the future home of Little River Waterfront, the online guide to the historic waterfront area of Little River, South Carolina.

Known for its fishing docks, casino boats that cruise to international waters, annual Blue Crab Festival, Christmas Market, Pet Parade, Shrimp and Jazz Festival, and Oktoberfest, the Little River waterfront also has a rich cultural history dating back hundreds of years.

Centered at the waterfront, Little River was home to the first settlement in Horry County.

Research is still being conducted which shows Little River is either the first (1776) or third (1823) post office in the county.

Little River and its residents played important roles in both the Revolutionary War and the War of the Rebellion (Civil War). Artifacts have been found in the local soil, along the sea coast, river banks and marsh lands.

Full launch of this guide is scheduled for next year, so bookmark us and check back later.
